About Me...

I have been a self taught baker since I was a kid.  My mom always worked part time and I began to learn to cook and bake on my own.  I have a passion for both.  But obviously my true love is baking.  I think I matered the chocolate chip cookie by the time I was 10.  And ever since have been tweaking the recipe until I finally got it to be the best cookie. 

I owe a lot of my skills from my good friend Michelle, who I had the pleasure of working with for 2 years...We had some great times in the bakery, which was orginally in Newburyport.  I hope to get back there someday soon as I feel there still is a need for what Buttercream has to offer.  And not just cupcakes. 

I thank her for all the difficult things I have learned to make.  I don't call myself a pastry chef by any means.  I feel I am a well versed baker with many different styles and taste...Most of the baked goods are French based, and I do the tradditional american yummies and some Italian desserts as well.  I love tiramisu and cannolis...My kids are also taking a huge interest in baking and cooking too.  Which I love to see.  Even my son max.  He makes a mean pancake!!! I like that they want to do it.  It does teach them to use their math skills and also they learn how important it is to follow directions.
