It's Here...I Can Feel it...

Now, I said a while ago it was coming and now it is here.  Fall.  I love it...I could use a bit more sun though.  I don't want the leaves to disappear before they get a chance to change color.

C'mon New Hampshire....have to give me something to look forward to!!! Having been in my new home now for 4 months, I can honestly say I am really liking it out here on my 2 acres.  So pretty and serene...
Which also leaves me with a lot of time to try out new baked treats.  Check out my new photo page of New Items from Buttercream...

I love trying new things.  Always nice to add some new trendy items to the menu. Recent additions are: Chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter buttercream topped with homemade pbutter cups...oh so creamy!!! Baked pumpkin donuts...moist, delicious, great flavor. You won't be able to stop eating them. What's hot right now is baking in mason jars...I gave that a try with s'mores in a jar.  They were delicious.  And finally, a twist on the old favorite...chocolate chip cookies...with the addition of pretzels.  Sweet/Salty...totally up my alley!!!

A good thing I still keep up with my running...I just finished my 3rd 1/2 marathon here in Boston this past weekend.  Now, that was a beautiful fall day and funny at that.  I showed up to meet with my friends...and to my surprise and theirs, I had 2 different sneakers...and of course that was not funny enough, they were 2 right feet sneakers.  WHO DOES THAT???  I was actually going to give it a try if I had to,  but thank god ADIDAS'S was one of the sponsors.  I was able to buy new shoes.  That is my excuse for not doing better this go around.  New shoes are tough.  Might have something to do with all the hills.  But I'm going with shoes.

My friends will be starting a new blog called "Jules and Sophia on the move" which will have full details of the fun we have while training, running and the craziness we get ourselves into after running...and let me tell you that is the fun part...after...stay tuned for that.  I will have a link posted.

I'm thinking I will have to try my new creations while I am on the treadmill.  That way the calories don't count.  Who's in??? It's called the Buttercream Diet...

Ok...I'm babbling...it's raining out...what else can I do...I could clean my house or organize something.  But instead I am going to make croissants...and tomorrow I'll be eating one on the treadmill...

Fall Is Fast Approaching!!!!

Hard to believe summer is closing to an end.  But, I must say I am a bit excited about that.  As sad as I am we will be closing our pool here this week, but nice to think of all the bonfires to come!!!

What goes best with bonfires?  s'mores...not just your regular s'mores.  Cupcake s'mores, and s'mores baked in mason jars for a new twist.

Also, pumpkin season...need I say pumpkin whoopie pies with either the traditional cream cheese frosting or the one I prefer...a brown butter cream frosting.  Delicious...great for school functions and treats at the soccer field. A new feature as well, pumpkin cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting with a salted caramel sauce!!!

Those are just a few treats you can try this fall.  Don't forget the unforgettable cinnamon rolls and sticky buns!!!

Mention this blog when ordering and get 15% off your order.

Enjoy this beautiful time of year!!! Because we all know what is just around the corner!!!

Remember I am nuts and so is my kitchen!!!! Pleas ask prior to ordering if any allergies are of a concern!!!

4th of July Weekend!!!

Wow, where has the time gone??? Can't believe it is already July...My kids go back to school in 8 weeks and 2 days, but not that I am counting.  I'm just stating the facts!~!

Today over at "LIFE IS GOOD" on State Street in Newburyport, they will be featuring my yummy cupcakes while they are doing a promotion...Stop by and see what the guys at "Life is Good" has to offer and have a festive cupcake too.

This weekend is about our independence as a country.  Let's be sure to think about the men and women who are sacrificing their lives for us over in the middle east.

Be careful.  Watch out for shooting fireworks...and remember always save room for dessert!!!

New Website Goes Live!!!!

Today was a big day for Buttercream. After going through a few designs, verbage, photos etc...
We now have the end product. I would like to thank Linda Roughsedge from Ocean Graphics New Hampshire for all her hard work. It was a pleasure working with her.

I hope everyone finds it much easier to navigate through and find what you need.

I now accept Paypal as a payment method. Which many have asked for and will be my preferred method of payment.

Also, big news. I have moved locations. I am still operating out of my home. One reason for the move is that I needed a lot more space to work in. I am now located in Kingston New Hampshire. Rest assured delivery is still avaiable.

I look forward to getting back to baking and connecting with all of you real soon!!!

Oops!!! There goes the timer...

Big Changes Occuring with Buttercream

May 3rd, 2011

I am officially starting a Buttercream blog....might not always have to do with baking, but I am sure most of the time it will.  So, check back often as I will write about my life and the ins and outs, the ups and downs to running a baking business, a family, a house and oh yeah...the husband.

Back to business here..

Finally the new and improved web page is up and running.  Wow, what a process that was.  I hope you find it much easier to navigate through now. I received great feedback from you all during the previous local ginger promos.  As to how hard it was to navigate, pictures didn't show up...too much clicking noises etc...I find my new site to be rejuvenating, exciting and shows off my style and quirky personality!!!

Many new items have been added to the website.  You can now shop and pay online, order items for friends and have them shipped as a surprise.  Who wouldn't love a yummy treat by surprise in the mail?  Better than what you normally get, right?

Be sure and check it out.  If you have any questions or insight you think might be helpful feel free to let me know.  I imagine the first couple of months there will be some kinks to work out...but should be a piece of cake...

Living Social Promo....stay tuned for a new living social promo to be coming out in July...I want to make sure everything is in tip top shape before I run the ad...It will be a good one...you won't be disappointed.

I'll be in touch...jill
